The national break has been a tragedy for Manchester United so far! Two more key figures in the starting line-up were injured on Friday
If anything is bringing Manchester United down this season, it’s clearly injuries! Since the start of the season, Eric ten Hag hasn’t had the opportunity to send out the lineup he dreamed of in the summer. And just when things were finally looking better, one bad news after another comes!

The never ending sickness
On Monday, Manchester United released a report regarding the status of Danish duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund. While the Red Devils midfielder will miss around a month with a knee injury, the new addition to the attack should be fit by the end of this month.
The two Danes thus join a list of sick players that includes Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia and Jonny Evans. There is also a question mark hanging over outside back Aaron Wan-Bissako.
And the problems are far from over. André Onana and Marcus Rashford have also missed their national matches.
England managed to beat Malta 2-0 at home on Friday night. Rashford, however, played only 61 minutes when he was replaced by Cole Palmer.
It was Onana who lasted a few minutes longer. Specifically, Fabrice Ondoa replaced him in the 81st minute against Mauritius. Cameroon added two more goals at the end and eventually won 3: 0.
Manchester United currently
The chair under Erik ten Hague was rocked so much at Old Trafford a few weeks ago that his sacking was already expected in England. The Dutch coach has so far managed to hold his own, but time and time again fate has thrown sticks at his feet.
Manchester United are facing a tough series of games after the Everton game, as they absolutely have to beat Galatasaray in Turkey. After that, they have a trip to Newcastle and a home game with Chelsea.
However, according to the information available, the management stands behind their current coach, being aware of these problems. Moreover, the club itself is currently undergoing a lot of changes and some transformation.
This is undoubtedly affecting the whole team. So it’s not an easy situation for Ten Hag, but despite everything, the performance on the pitch definitely needs to pick up. It certainly doesn’t correspond to the current point gain.
