Kepa Arrizabalaga is likely to change location. He is expected to switch from Chelsea to Napoli.
The Spaniard Kepa did not make many appearances last season and rather covered the back of his Senegalese colleague Edouard Mendy. Therefore, no one can be surprised that Kepa wants to make number one.
Even so, Kepa still put in a more than solid performance. Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has relied on him especially in cup clashes, a couple of times this goalkeeper has also hit the league.
There has been persistent speculation about Kepa’s departure from Stamford Bridge ever since his infamous moment when he didn’t get substituted during the Carabao Cup final.
Speculation about his departure was confirmed by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
In addition, Chelsea have brought talented American goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina into their ranks. However, he will not join the first team until the beginning of the new year, when the season in America ends.
Chelsea bought Kepa from Bilbao in 2018, activating his €80 million exit clause.
Kepa thus became the most expensive goalkeeper ever in the history of football. He surpassed the previously most expensive Alisson.
Napoli currently have the number one player in Italy, Alex Meret. He might not be much competition for Kepa. Former Napoli number one David Ospina moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer.
