The most damaged team in the Champions League replay? Real Madrid. We have to beat everyone, not appeal, but it sounds from the management

The botched Champions League draw was a huge embarrassment for UEFA. Due to a malfunctioning IT system, which indicates pairs to the federation’s draw staff, the entire draw had to be repeated again. And it damaged Real Madrid the most.
When Real Madrid fans watched the draw, they must have been delighted. The most successful club in the competition was to face Benfica Lisbon in the eighth round, a very enjoyable draw.
But the joy didn’t even last two hours and there was a lot of anger. Due to a faulty system, the whole draw was repeated and Real Madrid did not get Benfica in the redraw, but PSG, the toughest possible opponent they could have got.
The management of the White Ballet mainly complained about the fact that Real was drawn fairly. Benfica were drawn first, with Real Madrid next to them. There were no mistakes, they were made afterwards. That is why Real urged Uefa to repeat the draw only for the following teams where the errors occurred.
However, UEFA disagreed and repeated the entire draw. Once Real Madrid got PSG, they stopped speculating and will not contest the redraw.
“Real Madrid will approach the PSG matches with full confidence and hope for promotion after facing a big rival. It is necessary to play this double-header, there is no point in appealing. We must be better than PSG and advance further in the Champions League,” Real Madrid management sent a message to the AS newspaper.
Real Madrid’s director of institutional affairs and club icon Emilio Butragueño also commented on the draw confusion. “First of all, it must be said that what happened today was surprising, pathetic and very difficult to understand. It must be remembered that millions of fans and the whole world of sport were waiting for the draw,” said the legendary striker.
“But we believe the team will play two great games. These two games will definitely be great for football and for the fans. I stress that we hope to be in the quarterfinal draw,” Butragueño added.
