Manchester United’s Portuguese midfielder had real worries on Easter Monday. First thing in the morning, on his way to the training centre in Carrington, he was involved in a car crash.
Fortunately, however, Fernandes and no one else was seriously hurt in the accident. Fernandes even managed to join the team’s training session the next day.
“The accident happened on the way to Carrington,” Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick told the club’s website.
“To my knowledge, nobody was hurt. Bruno was training with the team and he was fine , and that’s why I also think he will be ready for tomorrow’s game against Liverpool.” added the German coach.
Although Manchester United is experiencing a rather unsuccessful season, they still hold a chance of finishing in the top four of the Premier League, which would ensure the Manchester club’s participation in next season’s Champions League.
At the moment, Manchester United are still a playable three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham. At the same time, Arsenal have the same number of points as fifth-placed Manchester, but they have one game less.
Tomorrow Ralf Rangnick’s team will face an extremely difficult duel at Anfield. Home team Liverpool has the motivation to win the league title. Moreover, the last match between these two teams ended 5-0 to Liverpool.
