The new season in England starts this weekend, but the transfer window is far from over! An interesting offer has now come from West Ham, who according to B/R Football have made an offer to Manchester United for the duo of Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.

The departure of a defender and a midfielder is definitely something Erik ten Hag can afford, as he has just filled those two positions before the start of the league season. From relegated Leicester, Jonny Evans has returned to Old Trafford after many years, plus Eric Bailly from a loan spell at Marseille.

In the midfield, the Red Devils management brought Mason Mount from Chelsea. Moreover, no one has left yet and so the transfer of the 26-year-old Scot would definitely not be a major problem for the team.

For the Manchester duo, West Ham is reportedly offering $77 million, which the Dutch coach could possibly use to buy another interesting reinforcement that would suitably complete the squad.

Moreover, the Red Devils would be rid of a huge liability in the form of Maguire, who in pre-season training has further honed his inability to play constructively, for which he earned the ire of his teammates.

The English fullback worked hard on his own time off to try to get into shape. At Manchester United, however, he is in a kind of spasm that he cannot shake off and his departure seems to be the best option for all parties.

Moreover, next year will be the European Championships and Maguire himself has made it known that he does not want to lose his place in the Albion national team. It’s just that he has to play and that’s why leaving is absolutely ideal for him.

West Ham is the ideal solution for both

Moreover, West Ham’s power game, which relies on players who are capable in the air, is a great option for Maguire and McTominay. In both cases, they are tall and strong players who are likely to adapt to the Hammers’ style very quickly.

Moreover, if Maguire shakes it all off and is the confident stopper we can see in the national team, he and his teammate will raise the quality of West Ham higher.
