Wesley Sneijder is currently only 37 years old. In his career he has played for Ajax, Real Madrid, Galatasaray, Nice and ended his club career in the jersey of Qatar’s Al-Gharafa SC.
Of course, we mustn’t forget his national team career in the Netherlands jersey where he started 134 matches and scored a solid 30 goals. He made his debut in the national A team on 30 April 2003.
The official end of the midfielder’s career came in August 2019. After less than three years without professional training, Sneijder is not holding up well. See for yourself.
Sneijder is also well remembered by Czech fans. He played against the Czech Republic twice in the EURO qualifiers in 2014 and then in the rematch in 2015. Both qualifying matches were won by the Czech Republic (2:1 at home and 3:2 in the Netherlands).
