The football season is over and we have met the champions of the top European leagues. Now it’s the turn of the summer transfer period, during which teams can try to strengthen their squad. Rumours and speculations about player transfers are therefore constantly increasing. Let’s take a look together at who has been the most talked about in recent hours and what transfers we can possibly look forward to.

Memphis Depay is officially a Barcelona player

Barcelona have officially confirmed the acquisition of Memphis Depay. The former Olympique Lyon player will sign a contract with the Blaugranas until June 2023. The Dutch footballer joins the club as a free agent.

Inter have eyed a replacement for Eriksen

Italian media report that Inter Milan are keen on signing a new player to replace Christian Eriksen after his health problems during Euro 2020.

The Nerazzurri should have already scouted a suitable adept for the position. This should be Donny van de Beek from Manchester United. The Dutch midfielder has failed to consistently force his way into the starting line-up since his transfer from Ajax and it is possible that he will look for an opportunity elsewhere.

The problem for the Milan side, however, is finances. It cannot afford Van de Beek’s transfer. It will try to resolve the whole situation through a guest appearance.

Pjanic in talks to return to Juventus

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic is in talks with Juventus Turin about returning to the club.

The Bianconeri are hoping to re-sign their former player. They would like to sign him on a two-year loan deal.

Pjanic joined Barcelona from Juventus last summer but failed to earn a regular place in Ronald Koeman’s starting line-up.

Madrid want Kounde to replace Ramos

Real Madrid want to bring in Sevilla defender Jules Kounde to replace Sergio Ramos, who surprisingly did not extend his contract and left the White Ballet.

The Blancos are planning to bid for the 22-year-old French stopper but are unwilling to pay his €80 million buyout clause. The player’s value is estimated at €60 million.

Real could raise the funds to acquire him by selling Raphael Varane, whose contract expires next summer and the Blancos do not want to lose him without compensation.

Andre Silva a target for Barcelona

After the acquisition of Sergio Agüero and Memphis Depay, Barcelona wants to focus on getting another reinforcement for the offensive. Eintracht Frankfurt forward Andre Silva has become the target of its interest. The Portuguese striker had a successful season in Germany, recording an excellent record of 29 goals and 10 assists in 34 games.

Crystal Palace may change hands

English Premier League club Crystal Palace may change hands as it has become the target of interest from American hologram technology pioneer John Textor. A consortium led by the investor is offering £200 million.

The information comes amid reports claiming that American co-owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer want to sell their stakes in the club.

Calvert-Lewin on Real Madrid’s radar

Real Madrid’s new manager Carlo Ancelotti has eyed reinforcements for the offensive line. He selected the player from his previous stint at Everton.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin had an excellent season under the Italian’s management, playing 9 games with a tally of 21 goals and 4 assists. However, it won’t be a cheap deal for the Blancos as the player’s value is estimated at €45 million.

United fear Pogba will leave for free

Manchester United fear that midfielder Paul Pogba will not extend his contract at Old Trafford and will leave the club as a free agent in 2022.

The France international was one of the Red Devils’ most expensive signings when he returned to the club from Juventus in 2016 for more than 100 million euros.

Pogba has rediscovered his best club form this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but is unhappy with a persistent lack of trophies. Paris Saint-Germain have already expressed interest in his services.

Tierney close to new Arsenal deal

Kieran Tierney is close to signing a new five-year contract with Arsenal that would tie the Scotland international’s future at Emirates Stadium until 2026.

In the recently concluded season, Tierney appeared in 38 games for the Gunners in which he tallied a tally of 2 goals and 5 assists. Since his arrival, the left-back has become an important part of the team. Arsenal therefore want to secure his services for a longer period of time.
