The football season is over and we have met the champions of the top European leagues. Now it’s the turn of the summer transfer period, during which teams can try to strengthen their squad. Rumours and speculations about player transfers are therefore constantly increasing. Let’s take a look together at who has been the most talked about in recent hours and what transfers we can possibly look forward to.

Juventus preparing a bid for Kane

Italian media reports that Juventus are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and are preparing an offer for him.

Re-appointed manager Max Allegri wants to sign a striker this summer and Kane is said to be the most suitable candidate. Indeed, he wants to leave Spurs and join a club that is fighting for trophies every year.

But the question remains whether the Old Lady will be able to afford the amount of money for his transfer and also his huge salary at a time of financial crisis.

Arsenal are ready to sell Nketiah

Arsenal will sell Eddie Nketiah this summer unless they agree a new contract with the striker. The player has only 12 months left on his contract and the Gunners and they are not willing to let him go on loan or let him leave for free.

The 22-year-old is reluctant to sign a new contract because he wants a guaranteed place with the first team.

Barcelona want to strengthen midfield

Barcelona are planning to strengthen their midfield in the summer. Their priority was Georginio Wijnaldum, but he is heading to Paris Saint-Germain.

Lorenzo Pellegrini from AS Roma has become a new target for the Blaugranas. He is out of contract in a year and a move to Barcelona would be a step forward for the 24-year-old Wolves captain. He was an important player for Roma in the recently concluded season, as evidenced by his statistics. He achieved a tally of 11 goals and 9 assists in 47 games.

His signing will certainly not be a cheap or easy affair as Liverpool and Atalanta are also interested in his services.

White is on Arsenal’s radar

According to the British media, Arsenal have entered the fray for the signature of Brighton defender Ben White. The Gunners have joined the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United in showing interest in the 23-year-old.

Will Thuram take the next step in his career?

According to RMC Sport, Tottenham are in advanced talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over Marcus Thuram.

Spurs will focus on acquiring an offensive player this summer as doubts continue to linger over the future of captain Harry Kane, with Thuram the main target.

The French offensive player, who prefers to play on the left wing, has played 40 games across all competitions this season. He has achieved an interesting record of 11 goals and 12 assists. His value is around €35 million.

Paris Saint-Germain want Dembele

The tension between the French club and Barcelona may be escalating. After PSG ‘stole’ Georgin Wijnaldum from the Catalans, they are now showing interest in their winger Ousmane Dembele.

The young Frenchman is out of contract at Barcelona next year and PSG want to take advantage of that. They want to convince him not to sign an extension and return to France.

De Gea expects to stay at United

David De Gea expects to stay at Manchester United despite intense speculation linking him with a move away from the club. Not only that, the Spaniard also reportedly believes he will be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one goalkeeper ahead of Henderson.

Can Benitez replace Ancelotti?

According to The Telegraph, Everton are considering offering former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez a contract after losing Carlo Ancelotti. However, it would be a shocking move for the Toffees to go after the former boss of their biggest rival.

Benitez is currently without an employer. He resigned from his post at Dalian Professional in the Chinese Super League earlier this year. Under his leadership, the club played 38 games and averaged 1.16 points per game.

Other managers who have been linked with Everton are Roberto Martinez, Graham Potter, Christophe Galtier and Manuel Pellegrini.
