The ideal scenario? Control the match and win 3-0 in Monaco, Sparta’s back has it clear
Sparta Prague will attempt a miracle on Tuesday night. If they want to advance further in the Champions League, they must win in Monaco by at least two goals and possibly rely on luck on penalties. But defender Tomas Wiesner has a different idea of the ideal match scenario.
Sparta Prague will attempt a miracle on Tuesday night. If they want to advance further in the Champions League, they must win in Monaco by at least two goals and possibly rely on luck on penalties. But defender Tomas Wiesner has a different idea of the ideal match scenario.
It didn’t work out at home, so Sparta must try to make amends in the Principality of Monaco. And it won’t be easy.
At Letná, the Ligue 1 side showed their great qualities and outplayed Sparta by a large margin. They deservedly won 2:0.
Nevertheless, Pavel Vrba’s charges are not giving up before the rematch. On the contrary, they want to fight for promotion to the next stage of the Champions League.
“We want to win in Monaco, we will do everything to advance. We have prepared well for our opponents. We have to convert our chances,” Wiesner told the club’s TV channel.
The 24-year-old back also admitted that it would be great to score a quick goal. ” Ideally, we would have controlled the game, won 3:0 and could have gone home happy.”
It should be mentioned that Wiesner is still gaining experience. That’s why he enjoys the matches against Monaco as much as possible and hopes that Sparta will have as many similar matches with similarly difficult opponents as possible.
However, the summer team has a packed schedule. According to Wiesner, they are able to regenerate well and prepare for the upcoming match. Will they confirm this in Monaco?
