Martin Hašek Sr. is the brother of Dominik Hašek, a former excellent hockey goalkeeper. The successful Hašek sports family has grown thanks to Martin’s sons.
Martin Hašek Jr. and Filip Hašek used to play for Sparta Prague in the youth, but eventually left for Bohemians 1905. Martin’s story is quite well known, we don’t need to mention his troubles with Sparta Prague.
After his engagement in the German second league Würzburger, he went as a free player to the Turkish second league Erzurumspor, where he started to play.
What about his brother Filip? He didn’t play much for Bohemians after his father left and left the Czech Republic at the end of his contract.
He is currently a player of the Greek second league team Olympiakos Volos. The club had financial difficulties and was looking for quality footballers who could come for free.
Hašek Sr. claims that both players have extra than for these teams or leagues. “But they have peace of mind, they can concentrate only on themselves and their football career. They can’t play in the Czech Republic anymore!” he said in an interview with Aktuálně.
