The best player in the world Iga Šwiatek dominated the tournament for the fifth time in a row, when in the final in Rome she declashed Tunisian Ons Djabour 2:0 in sets, namely twice 6:2. The Polish tennis player continues to dominate the women’s (WTA) circuit.

The new queen of tennis – this is probably how one could interpret the actions of the Polish tennis player, who has already won the fifth of nine WTA Masters 1000 tournaments.
This time Šwiatek won in Rome, sweeping Dzaburová 6: 2 and 6: 2 in the final of the tournament, thus securing not only her fifth title in a row, but also increasing her impressive winning streak to twenty-eight matches.
In the above attached Twitter post you can also see how many WTA Masters 1000 tournament wins Poland’s Shwiatek has already achieved.
It should be added, the 20-year-old tennis player entered this tournament after a short break, which she decided to take after her triumph in Stuttgart. However, even that did not stop her from winning another title.
Moreover, this was the third final in a row in which Šwiatek did not lose more than four games! It is no exaggeration to say that the Polish star is currently in thunderous form and is the favourite to win the title at Rolland Garros.
Thanks to her victory on Sunday, Šwiatek has once again increased her lead at the top of the WTA rankings and would not have lost her world number one position even if she had not started at Rolland Garros at all.
How Šwiatek will be seeded for the tournament is still a big question at the moment, but as we wrote above, it is already clear that she will be an aspirant for the overall triumph.
