After the national break in March, the clubs in the Premier League will face the last eight rounds. It will be interesting to watch the battle for fourth place, which will be contested by Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United. West Ham also have a theoretical chance, what does the lot say?

Arsenal

Arsenal are enjoying the start of 2022. It has won six of the last seven rounds and is very close to qualifying for the Champions League. From fourth place, it has a three-point lead over fifth-placed Tottenham, plus it has a game in hand.

The former regulars have ten games to play on their way to their dream competition. A quiet start with Crystal Palace, Brighton and Southampton is followed by games against Manchester United Chelsea and West Ham, then a relatively easy finish with games against Leeds, Newcastle and Everton.

The postponed game at Tottenham has no date on the calendar yet, yet it is the North London derby that could be the game of the season for both teams.

Tottenham

Things looked very bleak for Spurs in January, but Antonio Conte managed to get Harry Kane fit and the team has been on a roll ever since. Tottenham’s lot is also playing into their hands, with only Leicester, Liverpool and Arsenal left to face tough opponents.

Then Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton, Brentford and probably relegated Burnley and Norwich at the end of the season. Needless to say, it will all be decided by the match against the Gunners. Kane and co are three points behind them with one game to play.

Manchester United

Manchester United’s hopes are considerably worse. Unbalanced form accompanied by a difficult draw does not help the fourth place, the Red Devils still have to face Leicester, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in the penultimate round.

In addition, Manchester will play Everton, Norwich, Brentford, Brighton and Crystal Palace. Yet let’s not forget the Cristiano Ronaldo factor, the Portuguese icon has convinced several times in ancient and modern history that he can single-handedly drag a struggling team into the Champions League.

West Ham

West Ham are still within striking distance of the Champions League, although they are far from delivering consistent performances. Moreover, it is six points behind Arsenal and has played two more rounds. They are the only team from fourth to eighth place with cup duties.

The Hammers will face Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City, while the weaker rivals are Everton, Brentford, Burnley, Norwich and Brighton. The chances of TOP 4 are minimal, even TOP 6 will be a success.
