Real Madrid demolished Barcelona (4:1) in the Spanish Super Cup final with four goals, with Vinícius Júnior being the main contributor to the victory. The Brazilian star scored a hat-trick in the first half, celebrating his goal in imitation of the famous Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid reached the final of the Spanish Super Cup via Atlético Madrid, which they had already beaten 5-3 on 10 January.
However, Dani Carvajal equalised in the 85th minute to make it 3-3, with Joselu deciding the Spanish giant’s victory in extra time. Brahim Díaz added the final insurance in stoppage time.
Barcelona, on the other hand, did not score in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup, beating Osasuna 2-0. However, the Catalans did not score until the second half. In the 59th minute, Robert Lewandowski scored the opening goal.
Barcelona then secured the win in stoppage time in the second period through the intervention of 16-year-old Lamine Yamal. The winner of the Spanish Super Cup was, of course, decided in the final, where the two irreconcilable rivals faced each other.
However, Vinícius Júnior stole almost all the limelight for himself. He opened the scoring in the seventh minute and sent his team into the lead. In the video below, you can watch the other goals of this final duel, including the Brazilian’s Cristiano Ronaldo-style celebration.

But that was far from all of his performance. Vinícius added another goal three minutes later, sending Real into an already two-goal lead. Lewandowski reduced it to 1:2 for the Catalan club in the 33rd minute.
However, Vinícius added a third goal before the end of the first half to complete his hat-trick. The Brazilian Real Madrid star scored from the penalty spot in the 39th minute.
In the second half, the fans at the Riyadh Stadium saw only one more goal, which was scored by Rodrygo in the 64th minute. Real Madrid then blasted Barcelona with four goals to avenge last year’s 3-1 defeat.
