The Derby della Madonnina, one of the greatest footballing feasts in the world. AC Milan take on Inter on Saturday 16 September and, given the way the two Milanese giants have entered the new Serie A season, it will be a clash between the first and second teams in the table.
Inter have not scored once in the past three rounds. In the first round they beat Monza 2-0, then they won in Cagliari (2-0) and in the third round they beat Fiorentina (4-0).
AC won the opening round of the new Italian top flight competition in Bologna (2:0). The Rossoneri then blew out Torino (4:1) and managed to win the game in Rome (2:1).
It is no wonder that this match is being watched by a large part of the football public, including the players themselves.
AC Milan’s summer signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also looking forward to the Milan derby. He moved to the San Siro from Chelsea. The Rossoneri sent around 20 million euros for him in London, and the 27-year-old central midfielder immediately became an important figure in the AC line-up.

In an interview with DAZN, the Englishman first talked about how his transfer to Milan came about in the summer in the first place, but then turned his attention to the aforementioned Derby della Madonnina.
“I’m looking forward to playing in this derby. They (Inter) are a very strong team, but so are we,” said Loftus-Cheek in that interview, whose words are also quoted by Football Italia.
“There is always a key to beating the opponent and we are convinced that we have the right players and the right mental set-up to win the game,” he concluded.
