Champions League
The European Cups are around the corner! Who do Czech fans have to cheer for in favour of the coefficient?
It’s here! The group stages of the European competitions are slowly but surely getting underway. Czech fans will be paying their attention to the Czech representatives, of course, but let’s not forget about the competition!

So which teams should we root for and which ones should we not root for? After all, there is a lot at stake! Fifteenth place in the national coefficients table guarantees the participation of five cup representatives.
Czech football and Czech teams are expecting a dark season 2022/2023, when only 4 teams will be in the European Cups! This European season we are playing for the future, specifically the 2023/2024 season.
The very first round of the Europa League group stage will offer a very important confrontation between the Danish champion Brøndby and Sparta Prague.
The team from Letna got a slap in the face in Pilsen before the important match, hopefully they will quickly forget about the loss in the Danish city and win.
Denmark is currently in 23rd place, but watch out! It still has 4 representatives in the game who can send the Nordic country very high this season. So all eyes are on Sparta, who should be the one all Czech fans are rooting for.
In the Champions League, the Czech Republic needs the help of Manchester United, who play in Switzerland against Young Boys Bern. We could also do with a Borussia Dortmund win over Besiktas.
In the Europa League, we could do with Galatasaray stumbling against Lazio and Fenerbahce failing against Frankfurt. Vladimir Coufal and Tomáš Souček can help us from a distance as they face Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb. Czech fans should also cheer for Belgium’s Antwerp against home side Olympiakos.
Two Cypriot (Omonia, Anorthosis) and two Danish (FC Copenhagen, Randers) teams start in the European Conference League and we should not wish them success. Greece (PAOK) and Switzerland (Basel) have one representative each.
The key to moving up to 15th place, however, is still the positive results of the Czech representatives. Sparta have to succeed in Denmark, Slavia in Eden against Union Berlin and Jablonec at the Střelnice against Cluj.

What a bizarro! The referee disallowed a goal in the FA Cup even though the ball was fluttering in the net. This must not happen in 2024, raged the owner of the aggrieved club
