Five years ago, one of the biggest transfers in football history took place when Cristiano Ronaldo left the Spanish capital for Juventus. The transfer cost 100 million euros.

It was a day that perhaps all Real Madrid fans feared as much as they could. After nine years, the legendary Portuguese and the club’s all-time top scorer decided to change his destination.

The very departure of the legendary footballer still carries a bitter aftertaste to this day. Real Madrid only said goodbye to one of the most successful footballers in its history through a YouTube video and did not prepare an official ceremony for him.

Despite the fact that his involvement in Italy is no longer much talked about, he left more than a considerable mark here too. During the three years he played 134 games and scored 101 goals.

He managed to win the championship twice with Juventus. Once the Italian Cup and twice the Italian Super Cup.

How to evaluate this engagement? Winning a championship was previously a foregone conclusion at Juventus. But Ronaldo came for a completely different reason and that was to bring success in the Champions League, which he himself had won five times.

Despite all the goals and trophies the Portuguese has won, his legacy could be compared to that of Ronaldinho, Luis Figo, or Samuel Eto’o. They are legendary footballers who played in Serie A. Not Serie A legends.
