The Czechs know their opponents for the Wimbledon opener, Muchová will play the former world number one. Also on the schedule is the Czech derby

Top-ranked Karolina Pliskova will start her journey through the All England Club against compatriot Tereza Martincova. Karolina Muchova will face former world number one Simona Halep of Romania. Not an easy draw at all. Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova takes on petite Italian Jasmine Paolini.

Number 13 seed Barbora Krejcikova. Her opponent will be Maryna Zanevska of Belgium. Kateryna Siniakova will also appear in the main draw, her opponent will be Maja Chwalinska from Poland.

The other Czech in the biggest grass tournament in the world is Marie Bouzkova, who is seeded seventh, Danielle Collins.

The biggest favourite is of course the world number one, Poland’s Iga Swiatek. For the men, it’s the somewhat troubled Novak Djokovic.
