The Czech teammate replaced the hated Kemar Roof and scored his first goal for Jamaica
Michail Antonio is having a great season! The fans love him at West Ham and he is extremely important to the team. Manager David Moyes does not have an adequate replacement for him on the substitutes’ bench, yet the Hammers have released him to represent his new country (Jamaica), where he has only played his second competitive game.

Michail Antonio dreams of playing in the 2022 World Cup. He was unable to make the national team in England, so he decided to take the opportunity to represent Jamaica. He would like to go all the way to the main tournament in Qatar with that team.
The Reggae Boyz were reaching for an important three points in an important game against El Salvador, which was almost scored by the West Ham forward, but at the very end the Salvadoran footballers equalised at 1-1.
In the North and Central America and Caribbean qualifiers, it does not look like Jamaica will qualify. For now, they have 6 points and are in 6th place in the eight-team table. On the other hand, only the first part of the matches have been played and now the rematches will come, so Antonio and co. can still think about theoretically getting up to 21 points.
Interestingly, the hated Kemar Roofe of Rangers FC plays alongside Michail Antonio in the Jamaica team. In case you forgot, this is the player who seriously injured Czech goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar.
It was Roofe who was replaced in the 74th minute by a teammate of the Czech national team from West Ham. He scored after eight minutes. And it was a great solo action, see for yourself.
