The Champions League group draw will take place on Thursday! Who is placed in which basket?

On Thursday at 18:00 the expected Champions League group draw will take place. In the fourth basket we will find some surprising participants, but there is also a risk of death groups.

The first basket always contains the winners of their respective leagues and the winners of the Champions League and Europa League. It often happens that the second basket is more crowded than the first.

1. Basket

Chelsea, Villarreal, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan, Sporting Lisbon, Lille

2. Basket

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, PSG, Liverpool, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund

3. basket

Porto, Ajax, Shakhtar, Leipzig, Salzburg, Benfica, Atalanta, Zenit

At first glance, there are several variants of the groups of death. For example, Manchester City, PSG, Ajax, AC Milan would be a very unpleasant group. One of several other options would be Chelsea, Real Madrid, Leipzig, AC Milan.

On the other hand, there is also room for a couple of “unremarkable” groups. For example, it could happen that Lille, Sevilla, Zenit and Sheriff end up in the same group.

The draw is scheduled for Thursday at 18:00 and will be broadcast on the UEFA website.
