The cameras are on a rampage! This incredibly bizarre goal robbed Delhi Elephants of a win
Sierra Leone continues to surprise at the Africa Cup of Nations! In the opening game, a team full of Kamaras shocked Africa by drawing with the reigning champions Algeria. This time, Sierra Leone took points from another giant, Ivory Coast!

The elephants’ jersey was also worn by the favourite of the Slavic fans, Simon Deli. The favourite of the match had a great chance to win. In the 12th minute Franck Kessié could have sent the Elephants into the lead, but the penalty was saved by Mohamed Nbalie Kamara.
Eventually, Deli’s team went ahead in the first half, with the dreaded sniper Sébastien Haller scoring in the 25th minute. However, Musa Noah Kamara equalised shortly after half-time.
The Elephants responded in the 65th minute, Nicolas Pépé scored and went on to win, but then came the shock! In the 93rd minute, Badra goalkeeper Ali Sangare made a huge mistake and even Simon Deli couldn’t prevent Alhaji Kamara’s goal.
Against Ivory Coast, four Kamaras were in the starting line-up and the fifth Kamara took the field in the 75th minute. If we look at the rating of the prestigious WhoScored server, the best player of the small West African country was goalkeeper Mohamed Nbalie Kamara with a rating of 8.01.
Ex-Elephants defender Simon Deli got the best rating from the Elephants’ defence with 6.58 and won the most header duels of any player on the pitch (6).
Interestingly, North Bohemia’s Jablonec also have recent experience with an equalising goal scorer. Alhaji Kamara plays for Randers in Denmark and played against Jablonec in the return leg of the EKL group stage (2-2).
Players from the Lion Mountains can look forward to another financial bonus. A team full of Kamara takes about 32 thousand crowns (per member of the squad) for a draw at AFCON and the dream of promotion is still alive!
If Sierra Leone beats Equatorial Guinea in their last group match, they will be assured of promotion!
