The full name Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa is only 16 years old, but already big clubs from Europe are vying for him. But the talented striker, who is considered the “new Neymar”, has already surpassed one of his idols! Who is this Brazilian gem and where could he be headed?
Endrick is a 173 cm tall striker who has speed, good dribbling and is very strong on the ball. In short, he has all the qualities to be an excellent striker. To do that, of course, he needs the killer instinct that he possesses.
Even though he is considered by many to be the “new Neymar”, I would personally compare him more to the Brazilian Ronaldo. His biggest role model then is also Ronaldo, only the Portuguese Cristiano, as Endrick has let it be known that he would like to follow in his footsteps.
The Brasília native was brought up for big-time football by Palmeiras, whose A-team he broke into this summer and scored two goals in 45 minutes in his last league game.
Moreover, Endrick has surpassed all legendary Brazilians with this feat, becoming the youngest scorer in the Brazilian Serie A at the age of 16 years, 3 months and 5 days. Vinícius Junior scored his first goal on 20 August 2017 at the age of 17 years 1 month and 8 days, Neymar on 21 June 2009 at the age of 17 years 4 months and 16 days.
The following Endrick video will surely tell you more about the talented striker:: Palmeiras Skills & Goals 2022.
Of course, many leading European clubs are interested in his services, with Real Madrid and Manchester United reportedly the closest to acquiring the player. However, a potential suitor will have to prepare a €60 million buyout clause, according to Fabrizio Romano.
But the biggest favourite could probably be Real Madrid, where already have Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo, two players whose services the White Ballet also secured at a very young age. Vinícius Jr. cost the Spanish club 45 million euros when he was 16 years old.
This risk has paid off, as the winger is already a mainstay at Real Madrid and one of the best players in his position. A number of Brazilians operating at this club may then play a major role in his transfer to Madrid in particular.
For now, however, we are still talking about the Palmeiras player, where he is under contract until 2025. If he fulfils his potential, however, it can be assumed that someone will secure his services very soon.
