The Brazilian national team coach questions Mbappé and compares South American football to European football: We don’t play Azerbaijan here

The next World Cup will start in November and Brazil, the country with the most wins, will not be absent. And Brazil’s coach Tite had his say on Kylian Mbappé.
Kylian Mbappé is one of the biggest stars in world football. That’s why his every statement is interpreted by almost all media. It was no different in May when he leaned on the quality of South American football.
“Argentina and Brazil don’t face that kind of competition. Football in South America is not as developed as in Europe. That’s why the Europeans were the last winners at the World Cup,” Mbappé let slip.
The Frenchman was referring to the fact that the World Cup has been dominated by European teams four times in a row. However, he was criticised for his statement. For example, from Lautaro Martínez, the Inter Milan star and Argentina international.
Now, with some time to spare, Tite, the coach of the Brazilian national team, has also spoken out about Mbappé. The latter still leaned into the Nations League or traditional friendlies, among other things.
“With all due respect, we don’t have Azerbaijan to play with. We don’t have anyone here to give us a breather. Our qualifiers are of a much higher standard than the group stage in the European qualifiers,” Tite told ESPN Brazil.
It is worth noting then that both Brazil and Argentina will be among the biggest favourites at the World Cup this year. Brazil wants to break a 20-year wait to win the most valuable national trophy.
