Six goals, a heated match, excellent play of both the Sešiovans and the Dutch team – these are the aspects that from the spectator’s point of view adorned the previous match of Slavia at Feyenoord Rotterdam.
On Thursday 14 April, the Prague team will play a return match at their stadium. Will Slavia Prague reach the Conference semi-finals?
According to coach Trpišovský’s statement, Slavia will undoubtedly be propelled forward by its fans, who can create a truly electrifying atmosphere in Eden. But what else did the head of the Slavic cabinet say?
“One thing we let the players have was the opponent’s corner kicks, we want to focus on that. Not only are we not scoring goals from that, but we are not dangerous either. It’s one of the things that could help us tomorrow, we need to push through it,” Trpišovský explained at the press conference.
As you can also see in the above Twitter post, one of the things Slavia will want to avoid is a penalty shootout.
After the last encounter, both teams played their home matches – Slavia were 4-0 winners at home against Pardubice, while Feyenoord won 4-1 at Heracles Stadium, having decided the twenty-ninth round of the Eredivisie in the first half.
A home match from the group stage last November ended in a 2-2 draw, with Feyenoord equalising in the 93rd minute.
Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers scored then. Can Slavia beat the team from Rotterdam and advance to the semi-finals?
