The 23-year-old Loureda has more followers on social media than UFC champions or Jiri Prochazka
Valerie Loureda hasn’t been in MMA for very long, but at 23 years old she is already well known in the world of combat sports. She already has five fights in Bellator under her belt, and she’s also great at selling herself on social media, which makes her a bit like the famous Paige VanZant.
Valerie Loureda hasn’t been in MMA for very long, but at 23 years old she is already well known in the world of combat sports. She already has five fights in Bellator under her belt, and she’s also great at selling herself on social media, which makes her a bit reminiscent of the famous Paige VanZant.
Bellator may not be the best organization in the world, but the second place it is assigned to is certainly not bad. Unless you’re a downright MMA fanatic, however, you probably won’t know many of the stars from the organization where Attila Vegh was a past champion.
You may have heard of one name, though. That’s because Valerie Loureda is one of the most popular stars in the entire organization, even though she’s only ranked 10th in her weight class.
the 23-year-old American has five fights under her belt with a record of 4-1. She may have an interesting future ahead of her, and a possible future involvement in the UFC is not out of the question. But one thing is for sure, she can sell herself well.
This is exactly what was a very strong point of Paige VanZant or Ronda Rousey, former UFC stars. Both fighters had large legions of fans, made a big name for themselves, and were able to walk away from the UFC content in the knowledge that they would certainly have no shortage of funding.
VanZant admitted that she made more money on social media than in UFC fights, after leaving the No. 1 organization she got a lucrative offer from the BKFC where she fights without gloves, now she will also take up wrestling. And it’s wrestling that Rousey, the first woman in the UFC, is also involved in, however under the WWE entertainment banner.
While Loureda hasn’t talked about the money publicly yet, it’s possible that it will come in time. Either way, she’s gaining so many fans on social media that she’s the envy of many.
Loureda has at least more followers on Instagram than almost all Bellator champions and champions, with almost 900,000 people following her. Of the female champions, only former UFC star Cris “Cyborg” has more than a million followers.
the 23-year-old fighter then boasts more followers than even some UFC champions, such as Alexander Volkanovski, Aljamain Sterling, Deiveison Figueiredo, Glover Teixeira or Julianna Peña.
Even the biggest stars of Czech MMA are not catching on to the American, Jiri Prochazka has barely half the number of followers, Karlos Vémola is even worse.
