Jamal Musiala was born in Stuttgart in 2003 to a British-Nigerian father and German mother. He moved to England with his family at the age of seven, where he spent most of his childhood, and also started playing for Chelsea’s academy.

In June 2019, when Musial turned 16, he swapped Chelsea for Bayern Munich. And it was a great decision. On 20 June 2020, he will make his debut in a Bayern jersey in the Bundesliga against Freiburg. He started on the bench in the weekend’s game against Leipzig, replaced Gnabry at half-time at 1:0 to Bayern and started officiating. Already in the 47th minute Musiala increased the score to 2: 0 for Bayern, in the 54th minute he set up a goal for Sané, Bayern won 4: 1.

This earned him a nomination for the starting line-up in the Champions League against Barcelona. He definitely impressed with his performance, his speed and ball work is on a huge level for an 18 year old youngster. He also scored an assist for Robert Lewandowski’s first goal.

Bayern are thus developing another huge talent who can replace the Polish sniper in the future.
