Could Victor Osimhen from Naples be transferring this summer after all? According to the latest information, French PSG is preparing an offer of around 150 million euros. Kylian Mbappé, who has decided not to renew his contract in the French capital, could leave Paris.

A few days ago, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis sent a clear message to those interested in the services of Victor Osimhen. The message was: Osimhen will extend with us for another two years.

The Lagos native’s current contract with his current employer expires at the end of June 2025. His current market value is €120 million, according to Transfermarkt .

At a recent press conference where Napoli announced the arrival of new coach Rudi Garcia, De Laurentiis confirmed that he had agreed a two-year contract extension with Osimhen.

“I have been saying for some time that Osimhen must stay. If an offer then came that I could not refuse for the good of Napoli, then we would consider it, which is natural,” De Laurentiis was quoted as saying by Football Italia.

Could it be, then, that just such an offer is hurtling towards Naples? According to Alfredo Pedulla, transfer expert at Sportitalia, such an offer could come from Paris Saint-Germain.

Including performance bonuses, it would reach the €150 million mark. And this is exactly the kind of offer that is already very difficult to refuse.

Mbappé’s departure a reason to engage Osimhen?

A saga that has come to an end. And it can be said that finally. This is exactly how one could describe the decision of Kylian Mbappé, who has informed his employer of his intention not to renew his contract in Paris.

PSG will thus either let the French star go for free next summer or monetise him this transfer window. And given Mbappé’s price tag, it seems PSG don’t have much choice.

So, if Osimhen does indeed leave Naples, the management of the club from the city under Vesuvius have earmarked Jonathan David from Lille as a replacement. It should be noted, Osimhen has also moved from the French club to the Partenopei, for €75 million in 2020.

Since then, he has appeared in 101 competitive matches in a Naples jersey, scoring 59 goals and adding another 14 assists on top.
