Gerard Piqué
The symbol of Barcelona’s defensive line has retired after many years. gerard Piqué spent 14 and a half seasons at the Camp Nou, and this autumn was his final stint.
Piqué played 616 games for Barcelona, scoring 53 goals. He became an unquestionable legend of the club, but his end could have come a bit sooner, as his performance had already dropped quite a bit and the fans showered him with criticism.
Franck Ribéry
“I have no choice, I have to stop playing,” said Franck Ribéry in October. The long-time Bayern star was finishing his career at US Salernitana at the age of 39.
But a knee injury has prevented him from returning to the pitch. ” Despite all my efforts over the last three months, the pain in my knee has only got worse,” Ribéry said.
In his career, he has played in 632 games, scoring 151 goals and adding 224 assists.
