Testing Walk in the UFC? It’s like someone turned him in, I can’t explain it any other way, said David Dvorak
Doping testing is one of the less pleasant things in combat sports. Jiří Procházka, who is the record holder, can tell about it, he has already had over 50 checks. How is David Dvorak and what did he say about it?
Doping testing is one of the less pleasant things in combat sports. Jiří Procházka, who is the record holder, can tell about it, he has already had over 50 checks. How is David Dvorak and what did he say about it?
Jiri Prochazka has a title fight with Glover Teixeira in the welterweight division. But his preparation is often interrupted by doping tests. Since the beginning of the year he has been visited 51 times until October.
So the question is what caused it. David Dvorak, his Czech counterpart with the UFC, who will fight just a week later than Prochazka, outlined possible reasons.
“To be honest, I don’t understand it at all and I don’t understand it. I can’t explain it any other way, the UFC wouldn’t do this any other way.
My guess is that someone reported him on suspicion of using some banned substances. They haven’t checked anybody in history and I doubt they will in the future, ” he said in an interview with Sport.cz.
It must be said that the number has most likely increased and will continue to increase. Dvorak can’t complain about the frequency, he was tested 17 times until October.
“Since then they have not come again and I hope they will not come again (smile). In the end, when I compare it with Jiří Procházka, I have much less. I’ve been in the UFC for less than three years, in that time I’ve had seventeen checks, which is still good. It’s good for the UFC ,” he added.
Although it’s unpleasant, fighters just have to accept it. They have to report their whereabouts and if they are not spotted three times, there is a problem.
In that case, it’s treated as if the wrestler has doped and is facing a stop sign. The penalties vary, but surely no fighter wants to commit something like that.
