Karlos Vémola had to cancel his title fight with Marcin Naruszczka due to injury. Unfortunately, the injury is so serious that he cannot be expected to return quickly and now he will have to undergo further surgeries.

Karlos Vémola underwent surgery, but the injuries were found to be much more serious than they looked at first glance.

“Unfortunately, according to the doctors, what I secretly hoped would not be confirmed… I tore the hell out of everything I could,” Vémola said on his Instagram.

In fact, the injuries are of such a nature that even after this surgery, not everything is repaired. So he has to have another surgery in 4 weeks and there is a possibility that even that won’t be enough.

Vémola should stay in the hospital for at least a week, but according to his words, he does not intend to stay there for such a long time. The organization is organizing a big press conference on Thursday, which Vémola wants to attend.

“We have a press conference on Thursday. I will at least escape to that. And of course I will arrive at Štvanice, because I am sorry that I cannot fight there. So that I can see you and we can take pictures and so that I don’t miss the most beautiful tournament of the year,” he added.

So the question is whether Vémola will even be able to recover from his injury by the November boxing match with Marpo.
