Ter Stegen confirms his fantastic form in the Barcelona goal! This is what he did against Rashford’s shot and Weghorst’s penalty
Thursday’s European Cup programme offered several attractive duels. The most tempting was, however, the duel between two giants. Barcelona welcomed Manchester United to the Camp Nou. Goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen confirmed his great form against the English side.

Barcelona vs. Manchester United. Teams that have clashed twice in the Champions League final. Two European giants. On Thursday, however, the two teams met in the first knockout round of the Europa League.
Barcelona are in great form right now. They’re leading the top Spanish competition, they’re doing well. However, Manchester United’s form is also picking up and, if the results are good, they could be in contention for the Premier League title in a marathon of matches.
It was clear that Barcelona would have to watch out for one player in particular. England international Marcus Rashford has been in fantastic shooting form in recent weeks, scoring goal after goal.
But the Catalans boast a stable defensive line. And they owe this, among other things, to their goalkeeper. Marc-André ter Stegen has only conceded 20 goals this season and has kept a clean sheet in 17 of his 29 games.
Fans could therefore look forward to a possible duel between Rashford and the German goalkeeper, and in the first half they really went toe-to-toe. The English striker had an interesting chance and finished more than well from the angle he was in.
However, ter Stegen flashed a superb save and showed why he is seen as one of the best goalkeepers on the planet. In short, a beautiful footballing moment.
The German goalkeeper, however, pulled off a save in the first half, even in the face of Wout Weghorst, who failed to score on 100% of his scoring opportunities.
