Teplice vs. Slavia Prague: Preview and betting tips

A week after Sunday’s heated derby, Slavia goes to Teplice. They have not the best memories of Stínadla, having only drawn 1:1 there in the spring. How will the match turn out this time and what to bet on?

Stínadla seems to be a symbol of Slavia’s nightmare away games last season. The home side scored in the first minute and put the Sšívans under pressure.

Moreover, Teplice should have kicked a penalty after Ogbu’s hand in a slip, but it didn’t happen. Jindřich Trpišovský then rated the first half as the worst of his time at Slavia. In the second half, Susians had two penalties, they converted only one, so the draw was a big loss.

This season the Slavs are making up for last year’s losses. In Budějovice, where they lost 0:1 in the spring, this time they won 3:1, in Mladá Boleslav they replaced the 1:1 draw with a one-goal victory. They didn’t take three points from Jablonec, but they did from Pardubice.

Sešívany are still not performing ideally away from home, but at least they are taking points. But now they have an unpleasant opponent in front of them. Teplice at Stínady.

Why is it so unpleasant? In their last five home games against Sparta, Plzeň and Slavia, the Glassmen have not lost even once. Last season they managed to draw with Sparta and Slavia and beat Plzeň. In the current one, they managed to beat Plzeň and draw with Sparta.

In the current season they are doing quite solidly. After nine rounds, Teplice are in ninth place with 12 points. Last time they drew in Liberec, before that they won in Karviná.

Slavia cannot underestimate the match. If we can find a common denominator in Teplice’s five home games against the big three, it’s a lack of goals. Even in Slavia’s away games, not many goals are falling. That’s why I think we won’t see more than two goals.
