Tens of millions of pounds are flying through the air in England. Chelsea and Manchester United are completing very expensive purchases
The Premier League makes incredible money thanks to its viewership. That’s why virtually every club in England (not only) can afford to spend large sums on different players. And now more expensive transfers are being born. Chelsea and Manchester United are in charge.
The Premier League makes incredible money thanks to its viewership. That’s why virtually every club in England (not only) can afford to spend large sums on different players. And now more expensive transfers are being born. Chelsea and Manchester United are in charge.
Chelsea want Leicester’s defensive star
The London club started the new season rather embarrassingly. After four rounds, they have seven points. Two games won, one lost, one ended in a draw. However, it should be noted that the Blues have undergone quite a transformation over the summer. And it’s not over yet.
However, instead of departures, there is one very interesting arrival. A certain Wesley Fofana plays for Leicester, who is only 21 years old and through his defensive skills is a very hot commodity.
He is a very talented central defender and his price is understandably high. All the more so because he plays in England and is wanted by a rival. However, everything should come to a successful conclusion. Chelsea are offering £70 million for Fofana, more than two billion Czech crowns.
Fofana should be close to undergoing a medical. His transfer seems to be almost certain and ready.
Manchester United robs Ajax again
Manchester United have not started the new season any better than Chelsea. On the contrary. In the end, however, it has only one point less. However, new coach Erik ten Hag, who came from Ajax, is still trying to strengthen his team. And, unsurprisingly, he’s looking at the team he coached.
Midfielder Lisandro Martinez has already arrived from the Dutch club and is showing great form. And to make matters worse, another Ajax star is also set to strengthen the offensive ranks. There was speculation all summer about the possible arrival of the talented Brazilian, but the high price tag should have put the Red Devils off.
In the end, however, according to both Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United gave the nod for a sum of £85 million, or almost 2.5 billion Czech crowns. Antony will thus become one of the most expensive players in the club’s history.
the 22-year-old Brazilian will rank immediately behind Paul Pogba. However, the football world is wondering if this is too much. The fact is that the confident dribbler has huge potential, however, even Transfermarkt estimates his value at around £41 million. That’s barely half of what Manchester United will actually pay for him.
