Tenerife vs. Almeria: Preview and betting tips
A poor Monday’s pre-season football programme will offer a showpiece of the second highest Spanish league. Tenerife will welcome Almeria to their home ground and if they want to think about promotion to La Liga, they must win in front of their home fans. However, it will be difficult, as the visitors are currently second.
A poor Monday’s pre-season football programme will offer a showpiece of the second highest Spanish league. Tenerife will welcome Almeria to their home ground and if they want to think about promotion to La Liga, they must win in front of their home fans. However, it will be difficult, as the visitors are currently second.
Tenerife have been underperforming in recent weeks, dropping to fourth place with two losses in their last three games. Yet they are in touch with the very top of the league, just four points behind second place.
Almeria, the big favourite for promotion, is also struggling, having drawn and lost in the last two rounds and is already three points behind first-placed Eibar. However, they must also look behind them, with only a one-point cushion on third-placed Valladolid.
Elady Zorrilla is firing sharp in the Tenerife jersey, the left-footed Spaniard has scored ten goals and three assists. Experienced central midfielder Míchel Herrero set up three goals with a pass and scored three more himself.
The visitors stand on Umar Sadiq, the Nigerian striker has scored fifteen league goals and assisted nine more. He therefore has a hand in 48% of Almeria’s goals. Talented Belgian winger Largie Ramazani has made six appearances and assisted once.
Tenerife relies on a reliable defence, getting the fewest goals out of the entire league, namely only twenty-six.
That’s a challenge for Almeria, who, on the other hand, thrive on attack. With fifty shots, it has the league’s best attack, scoring two or more goals in three of its last four games.
Given the form of the visiting attack, I don’t think Almeria will lose. Specifically, I recommend betting on them to win in a no draw bet. This means that if the match ends in a draw, the odds will drop to one.
