Many fans were surprised by the result of the Glover Teixeira vs. Jamahal Hill fight, when the latter won the championship. He is quite possibly the next opponent of Jiri Prochazka, who is recovering from a nasty injury. He was understandably surprised by the result.

The second match for Jiri Prochazka’s vacant title already knew the winner. It is Jamahal Hill, who managed to defeat Glover Teixeira, making him the current reigning UFC welterweight champion.

But at the same time he dropped a bit the qualities of Hill, who was even a slight favourite before the fight, although everything played into the hands of his opponent.

“With Hill, I guess nothing really surprised me. Maybe just the fact that he always talked about his power and KO punching, but Glover clearly showed that it’s not that much power again. Johnny Walker, on the other hand, showed he had some serious bombs. He put on an incredible performance. I guess that’s the only thing that surprised me about Hill. But what surprised me more was that Glover clearly gave the impression that it wasn’t his night,” he added.

So, if all goes to plan, we could see them fight each other in the middle of this year. At least according to Prochazka, who believes he won’t miss more than six months.
