Talented Fagioli already knows his punishment for illegal betting! Juventus may miss the rest of the season, what about Tonali and Zanioli?

The football world has been rocked in the last few days by information about a betting scandal involving more than a dozen players. Among them are well-known Italian footballers, specifically Nicolo Fagioli and Sandro Tonali. The former has already received his punishment.
The investigation into the current betting scandal has been ongoing for some time. Recently, however, well-known names in Italian football have been linked to this activity.
In particular, 22-year-old Nicolo Fagioli has already received his punishment. This Juventus Turin talent was investigated for betting on an illegal platform, which he later admitted to Turin prosecutors.
Meanwhile, Fagioli’s bets were allegedly discovered by chance when police were investigating the betting activities of an unnamed criminal group. The talented Bianconeri player was said to have gambled €100,000 in the last 18 months.
Fagioli admitted that he had indeed bet on football matches, but never on those involving his own team. Following reports from Sky Sport Italia, he has reportedly agreed to a seven-month ban.
However, he is now doing everything he can to have his sentence reduced. For example, he cooperated with the investigation and told everything about the players he knew were also involved in the scandal. Even so, a reduction in his sentence is unlikely and this suspension will therefore probably end his season.
A three-year ban for Tonali?
The other suspects are Sandro Tonali, who moved from AC Milan to Newcastle United in the summer, and Nicolo Zaniolo, who is currently wearing the Aston Villa jersey. The approach to the investigation could make a huge difference to the potential sanctions.
While Fagioli is doing everything he can to mitigate his punishment, then Tonali, Zaniolo or others could face far worse sanctions. Server Football Italia even reports that if Tonali, for example, is still a Serie A player, he could receive a full three-year ban.
