T-Mobile also objected to the racist behaviour of Spartan fans. Sparta’s management invites to the carpet
Since autumn 2018, Sparta Prague players have been wearing jerseys with the logo of general partner T-Mobile on the chest in UEFA competitions. Since then, there has been no problem between the management of Letna and the management of the telecommunications company, until Tuesday evening.
Since autumn 2018, Sparta Prague players have been wearing jerseys with the logo of general partner T-Mobile on the chest in UEFA competitions. Since then, there has been no problem between the management of Letna and the management of the telecommunications company, until Tuesday evening.
The result and the performance of both teams in the Sparta vs. Monaco match is overshadowed by one incident – the racist behaviour of the Letna fans.
Understandably not all of them, but after the goal by Tchouameni, a dark-skinned player, the imitation of monkey shouts could really be heard.
This is alien to T-Mobile, the general partner of AC Sparta Praha. T-Mobile will even invite Sparta’s management to a meeting and demand not only an investigation into the incident, but also wants to hear what countermeasures the club is planning in the future.
But Sparta will probably be most upset about the meeting with the UEFA, which punishes racism much more harshly than, for example, the football authorities in our country.
Sparta’s management is also dealing with them because of racism. The home fans did not like Olomouc’s Paulolo in the first league round.
Whichever way Sparta stands up to any of the commissions, it is not only Sparta that will pay for the behaviour of its fans. This unpleasantness also gives a bad impression to the whole of Czech football.
