Svedik: We want to beat Partizan. It’s about prestige, Czech coefficient and financial reward

Slovácko has nothing to play for in the last match of the Conference League, as they cannot advance from the group, but they certainly don’t want to give up anything in the duel with Partizan.
Martin Svedik’s team certainly did not disappoint in their first appearance in the group stage of the European Cups. It has gained 4 points so far, managed to beat a team from the French Ligue 1 (Nice) and definitely did not play second fiddle.
It’s just a pity that Slovácko could have done better. In the first match it was leading Partizan 2:0 and the opponent was playing for ten, in the end it was just a 3:3 draw. In Kolín, the team from Uherské Hradiště equalised from 0: 2 to 2: 2, but in the end they fell 2: 4.
At home Slovácko lost to Nice 0::1 after a big mistake by goalkeeper Nguyen, and at home they lost to Kolín with a penalty goal.
Before the last match Slovácko has no chance for promotion, but it can shuffle the promotion cards significantly. First Nice has 8 points, second Partizan is on the same level. Cologne from third place has 7 points. If Slovácko beats Partizan, it will affect the two advancing teams. In addition, Slovácko has motivation for itself.
“There are several factors that motivate us. Whether it is the financial reward, the prestige of the whole competition or of course the coefficient. These are the main three things that motivate us. And the fact that we are playing the game at all,” Slovácko coach Martin Svědík said at the press conference.
“We want to beat Partizan as much as possible, succeed and play as well as possible. We wanted to get into the Conference League, it gave us a huge experience and tomorrow’s match will be no exception,” added Slovácko coach.
