Juventus are struggling, plus they will have to deal with complications in attack. Álvaro Morata is headed to Barcelona, so the Turin outfit have tried to hunt Atlético Madrid. Luis Suárez, however, refused to leave for Italy.
Álvaro Morata is likely to end his Juventus loan six months early to make his way to Barcelona, who are looking to expand their attacking ranks.
So the Bianconeri wanted to look again at Atlético Madrid, where Morata is a guest in Turin, only in vain.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Juventus wanted to solve Morata’s departure with the arrival of experienced sharpshooter Luis Suárez, but he rejected the offer.
Suárez’s contract expires in the summer and it is almost certain that an extension will not happen. It would therefore be a great solution for Juventus. But the Uruguayan marksman wants to look more towards the USA.
Last season, the now 34-year-old striker led Atlético Madrid to the league title, putting in great performances and scoring goal after goal. Even now he doesn’t have completely bad numbers, but there is a noticeable drop in performance.
This season, Suárez has appeared in all 25 competitive matches, scoring 8 goals and adding 2 assists. Instead of scoring goals, he is collecting yellow cards, which he has already collected more than last season.
Quite recently, it was speculated that the Atlético star could leave for Inter Miami. South American clubs were also interested in him, but Suárez himself rejects this move. He is tempted by MLS.
