Stromsgodset vs. Odd Greenland: preview and betting tips
On Saturday, the Norwegian league will be played for the TOP 5, with fourth-placed Stromsgodset welcoming ninth-placed Odd Grenland and the winner of the game is guaranteed fifth place until at least Sunday. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?
Stromgodset is enjoying an unexpectedly good start to the season, after thirteen rounds they are in fourth place. A first glance at the balanced table is nevertheless a bit deceiving, with only a one-point lead on seventh place.
However, Odd Greenland too have picked themselves up thanks to three wins from the last four rounds and jumped to ninth place in the league. From there he is only two points behind his rival, and four points behind third-placed Viking. A win could move them into the Top 5.
Norwegian U21 international Johan Hove is the mainstay of the home team, scoring six times and assisting twice from the midfield. Spiked forward Lars-Jörgen Salvesen opened the net five times and assisted three more goals.
In the visitors’ jersey, it was Tobias Lauritsen, the twenty-four year old spearhead striker scored five times in the league. Serbian winger Milan Jevtovic even split the net six times and added one goal assist.
Stromgodset has struggled defensively, scoring more than once in five of their last seven games.
Odd Greenland, on the other hand, has only scored more than one goal in three of their last nine games, keeping a clean sheet three times.
Given Odd Grenland’s defensive form and three wins from their last four games, I expect the visitors not to lose.
