The Australian media recently came up with the information that the Australian stormtrooper Kyrgios is accused of allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari.
This act was alleged to have been committed by Kyrgios in Canberra in December last year. ” We can confirm that a 27-year-old man from Watson is due to appear in the Capital City Court on August 2 in connection with the December assault charge, ” an ACT Police statement quoted by the Canberra Times said.
According to this server, Kyrgios’ lawyer Pierre Johannessen also noted that the tennis star takes the charge seriously and is determined to resolve it.
According to The Sun, Kyrgios first announced his then-girlfriend via his Instagram account, specifically in 2020.
This also sparked a lot of negative reactions back then. In fact, the Australian tennis player posted this picture just three months after ending his relationship with Russian player Anna Kalinskaya.
Kyrgios broke up with Passari last year, reportedly sometime in the fall. Then in December, he was seen with his current fiancée Costeen Hatzi, who makes a living as a social media influencer.
If the 40th player in the world is indeed convicted of the crime, he could face up to two years in prison.
