The second matches of the Tournament of Champions in the Green Group will be played on Wednesday. One of them will be a clash between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud, players who lost their opening matches. Who will enjoy the victory?

Stefanos Tsitsipas is a twenty-three-year-old tennis player originally from Greece. His best is probably yet to come, but he is already fourth in the ATP rankings. In 2021, he has already managed to win 55 matches.

Lately, however, he hasn’t been doing so well. In fact, he has only managed to win one of his last five duels, against Grigor Dimitrov in Vienna. If he wants to play in the semi-finals of the Tournament of Champions, he should win on Wednesday, as his last group match will be against Djokovic.

But Casper Ruud, who is still a year away, will stand in his way. The Norwegian tennis player has had the best season of his career, in which he managed to dominate tournaments in Geneva, Bastad, Gstaad, Kitzbuhel and also San Diego.

Although he showed a sympathetic performance in the opening match of the Green Group, it was not enough for the world number one. He lost to Novak Djokovic after two sets 6::7 and 2::6, making it slightly more difficult for him to qualify among the top four players.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is the paper favourite for the match, which starts at 21:00 on Wednesday. His opponent is not so good on the hard surface, as evidenced by the match in Toronto, where the Greek won 6:1 and 6:4.

So what to bet on? The odds for Tsitsipas to win are 1.59 at the bookmaker. At the same time, it is expected that the fourth duel between these rivals could offer a large number of games. Therefore, I recommend a tip that the match will see at least 22 games.

Update: Stefanos Tsitsipas has withdrawn from the Tournament of Champions due to injury – he will be replaced by Cameron Norrie
