On Sunday morning, we will have the final match of the ATP tournament in Acapulco, Mexico. It will be a duel between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev, the number one and number two in the tournament. Who will win the title?
Stefanos Tsitsipas has been on the ATP circuit since 2016. He is currently ranked fifth, which is his highest ranking to date. He would not move to fourth place even if he wins on Sunday.
The twenty-two-year-old Greek tennis player has been performing very well at the Acapulco tournament. He was able to cope with Isner and Auger-Aliassime. He has already won sixteen matches in 2021, while he has only three losses.
His final opponent will be Germany’s Alexander Zverev. He is currently ranked seventh, having been third in November 2017. He would not be able to move ahead of the legendary Roger Federer even if he dominates the whole tournament.
The 23-year-old has not lost a single set in Acapulco so far. However, he has come up against opponents that he should regularly beat as one of the world’s top representatives (Alcaraz, Djere and Koepfer).
So what to bet on? The paper favourite is the Greek tennis player, who is 5-1 up in the statistics of their matches. His only loss came in 2018 at the tournament in Washington.
