Sparta travelled to Vienna to play Rapid Vienna in the second round of the Champions League. However, they did not match it and lost 1:2. Many fans are disappointed with the result, but the chances of qualification are not small and the result is not as bad as it may seem.
Sparta lost to Rapid Vienna 1:2, Ladislav Krejci Jr. scored for the Czech team and Christoph Knasmüllner scored twice for the Austrian team.
Many Sparta fans were disappointed with the result and have already seen black scenarios of their favourite team dropping out of the millionaire qualification.
However, not everything is as bad as it may seem. Previously, such a defeat would have been taken as a success, but the away goals rule is gone.
Even now, however, Sparta have two halves to at least level the score and send the match into extra time.
The 9,000 spectators, almost none of whom should be supporters of the opponents, will be pushing them to win, as the capacity is limited compared to Austria.
The cauldron, which has been closed for most of the season, will also be available for the first time in a while. Combined with Sparta’s slightly improved play, fans have nothing to fear.
