Spartan and Slavic player in the cup teams of the week. Who of the Sešians made it to the best eleven?
Czech teams scored only two goals in the second round of the group stage of the Europa League. However, both Dávid Hancko and Tomáš Holeš made the team of the week according to SofaScore.
Sparta was the only Czech club to make it through Thursday’s match. Dávid Hancko scored a beautiful header to secure a narrow but deserved 1-0 win over Rangers FC. Thanks to that, he was also named to the Europa League Team of the Week.
Lyon striker Karl Toko Ekambi was the highest scoring player of the second round of the group stage. He scored two goals in the 3-0 win over Brondby Copenhagen, assisted by Houssé Aouar.
Three of Patrik Schick’s teammates were also included in the squad, while Lazio Rome, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, Olympiakos Pierus, PSV Edinhoven, Dinamo Zagreb and Spartak Moscow were also represented.
Slavia and Jablonec came up empty on points this time. Nevertheless, Tomas Holeš, the author of Slavia’s only goal, made the team of the round of the European Conference League. At least considering his performance in the first half, his rating of 7.9 is rather questionable.
Harry Kane, the author of the hat-trick in the Slovenian Mura’s net, has the best rating. The English international came on the pitch only in the 59th minute together with Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura, yet he managed to score three times.
Perhaps a little unexpectedly, no Feyenoord Rotterdam players made it into the line-up. Turkish midfielder Orkun Kökcü deserved his nomination for a beautiful goal and a good performance in midfield.
However, players from Rennes, CSKA Sofia, Basel, Karabakh, AS Roma, Partizan Belgrade and Helsinki were preferred.
