Sparta has new reinforcements for the women’s team! A goalkeeper from Jamaica or an American striker are coming
Sparta Prague is now the leader of the top league thanks to the relegation of Slavia in the last autumn round. However, this certainly does not mean that strengthening the squad is not on the agenda. We will see two new players in the red jersey from the spring, which will increase the competition in the team.
Sparta Prague is leading the top league thanks to the relegation of Slavia in the last autumn round. However, this certainly does not mean that strengthening the squad is not on the agenda. We will see two new players in the red jersey from the spring, which will increase the competition in the team.
The Spartans lost points only twice in the autumn, due to draws with Slavia and Dukla. However, they will still occupy the first place due to the loss of Slavia to Slovan Liberec.
Sparta is currently closer to the title. However, the latter must not rest on its laurels, as it has decided to strengthen itself with two interesting players.
The first is goalkeeper Sydney Schneider, who was part of Jamaica at the 2019 World Cup. The 23-year-old was born in the USA, but she could also represent our neighbours.
After all, her father was born in Germany. In the past, she played for the Washington Spirit and Kansas City teams, but she was not number one, which she would like to make up for in Sparta.
The second addition is offensive soccer player Alyssa Frazier. The 24-year-old American used to play for the Swedish second league team RIK Karlskoga, with whom she was relegated to the third league.
Now she will play in a prestigious league and will try to fight for the Czech title together with her teammates. However, the league doesn’t start until March.
Until then, the Sparta players will play a lot of league games, six to be exact. We can look forward to teams like Ferencváros, St. Polten, Gyor and Katowice.
