Jakub Pesek had the first chance in the tenth minute, but Allan McGregor made a good save. Three minutes later, Fashion Sakala shot on the other side, but Florin Nita made a good save. In the 25th minute, Martin Minchev tried a shot from an angle, but the visitors’ goalkeeper cleared his shot.

Four minutes later Letná celebrated. Dávid Hancko headed the centre from the corner flag to the back post. After that, the level of play went down, Sparta were clearly happy with their lead, Rangers lacked the desire.

In the 74th minute, the stands started to celebrate for the second time, as Glen Kamara received his second yellow card and went to the showers early. Sparta were calmed down by the numerical advantage, Pešek could have added the insurance goal, but he only aimed at McGregor’s gloves.

However, the Spartan team was able to beat Scottish Rangers 1:0. On Sunday, they play an equally important match at home to Slavia.
