Sparta joins the MOL Cup and their first opponent will be the third league Domažlice. They advanced through Králův Dvůr and Aritma from Prague and now they will try for a miracle at home. How is the first league team preparing for the match?

After a series of draws, Sparta has moved into a winning streak, this time with three in a row. Wednesday’s goal is clear, a win and promotion, nothing else is out of the question. The team needs to tune up for this weekend’s derby.

This match will also hit the cup. Sparta will want to spare some players, Slavia will not be able to do so because of the large squad.

“There will certainly be rotation, but it probably won’t be that ten players will be replaced. Some guys have health problems, so we will definitely spare them. Other players who deserve it will get a chance,” said assistant Luboš Loučka in an interview for the club’s website.

Sparta fielded the weakest team in the last four years. How is it preparing for it? Quite recently, the reserve team played against it.

“We haven’t played a competitive match against a team from a lower league for a long time. But the preparation was and is the same as for a league match or a team from the second league. We have Domažlice mapped and analyzed. We take the match with all seriousness. The only goal is to advance,” he added.

The home team should not miss David Limberský, around whom the blackmail case has been solved in recent days. The match is scheduled for Wednesday at 3 p.m. and will be shown on ČT Sport.
