Europa League
Sparta are worried about their fans, so they have published a guide on how to behave in Scotland. What does it say?
Sparta will have another important Europa League match on Thursday. They will play against Rangers at the famous Ibrox Stadium in Scotland. The match will also be attended by fans of the team from Letná. Given the tense atmosphere on the Prague – Glasgow route, the Czech team has a guide for its fans on how to behave in the Scottish capital.

The situation between Prague S and Scottish Rangers is not ideal. It all started last season when they met the island side Slavia in the Europa League. Instead of everything fading away over time, however, tensions continue to reign.
Although Sparta couldn’t have fans at Letná against the Scots, children were allowed into the stadium and created a unique atmosphere. As they were largely young footballers who had a memory of the events of the Rangers’ duels with Slavia, there were even booings of some players.
So again racism was addressed, although none was shown. However, the heated atmosphere continues to prevail. The Prague club is therefore quite rightly worried about its fans travelling to Glasgow. It has even issued a guide for them on how to behave.
First and foremost, Sparta calls for responsibility: ‘You will represent our club, its famous name, tradition and values. Think in advance about your schedule, when you will travel to the stadium and what places you will go.”
The handbook recommends staying in the city centre during the day, while on the other hand it is not recommended to be around the stadium, let alone visiting pubs or restaurants near Ibrox Stadium.
“Do not unveil flags, jerseys and scarves until you are in the sector. Do not draw attention to yourself in town, at hotels, restaurants or on transport. Do not provoke with loud chants outside the stadium. Avoid verbal provocation towards Rangers supporters,” the text to fans reads.
The final piece of advice is not to go on individual trips and move in groups.
