Leicester will be looking to build on their win over Watford on Wednesday. This time they travel to Southampton, who dropped to 15th place after two straight losses. Who will succeed?
Southampton are back in the fight for bare survival after two losses. From the fifteenth place they have a six-point lead on the relegation places, so they need at least a draw against Leicester.
Leicester are making amends for a poor first third of the season, jumping up to tenth place after their win over Watford, but that is not a position that will satisfy the fans. The table is very even, with fourth-placed West within five points.
Southampton meanwhile are looking for a replacement for Danny Ings, strikers Che Adams, Adam Armstrong and Armando Broja have scored only seven times in the league combined so far. On the other hand, right-back Tino Livramento deserves praise, he has settled into the line-up after transferring from Chelsea and has had a hand in two goals (1+1).
The Foxes rely on the current second top scorer of the competition, Jamie Vardy has already netted nine league goals. Traditionally Youri Tielemans has been excellent, with three goals and two assists so far.
Leicester are struggling defensively and have not kept a clean sheet for thirteen games. Saints are zero on offense again, with eleven goals scored they have the second worst offense in the league.
Considering the quality of the visiting squad and the unproductivity of the home team, I think Leicester will not lose.
