Southampton vs. Arsenal: Preview and betting tips
Arsenal have an important Champions League match on Saturday, travelling to the south coast to take on Southampton. The home side have no proper motivation, their rescue is almost certain and they will not reach the cups anymore.
Arsenal have an important Champions League match on Saturday, travelling to the south coast to take on Southampton. The home side have no proper motivation, their rescue is almost certain and they will not reach the cups anymore.
Southampton have been searching since a very hilarious February, they have been waiting for a win for six games and have dropped to fourteenth in the table. Yet they can rest easy, they still have a twelve point lead on the relegation zone.
Arsenal may have lost the Champions League in the last two rounds. After setbacks to Crystal Palace and Brighton, it has dropped to fifth place, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with a game to spare.
James Ward-Prowse is the home side’s jewel, the English midfielder has scored eight goals and assisted seven times. Albanian Armando Broja has even made nine appearances, adding one assist.
Arsenal have a very young team, the main offensive star is Bukayo Saka, author of ten goals and five assists. Martin Odegaard commands the midfield, the skillful Norwegian has scored six times and assisted on five goals.
Southampton are on fire defensively in particular, getting more than one goal in five of their last six games.
Arsenal, however, are not ideal either, losing three of their last four games, scoring at least twice each time.
Considering the poor defensive performance of the home team, I think Arsenal will win.
